In this atrium, the child (aged 9-12) focuses on the Plan of God. This is a Plan that links all people together through God's love. The emphasis is on our response to the unfolding generosity of God and recognition of the responsibilities that come with receiving God's great gifts and seeing oneself as a collaborator with God.
"What is the Kingdom of God and my place in it? " is a cosmic question which lays the foundation for a life commitment in relationship with God. Materials on the Prophets of the Old Testament, the Gifts of God, and the Miracles of Jesus can also be found in the Level lll atrium.
Meet our Leads
Christina (Chris) Mackris
I have been a life long Catholic. I have been a member of St. Peter Church since 1983, when my husband and I were married.
I became a Catechist at St. Peter's about a year after my youngest daughter was born in 1990. I have been involved with the formation of children ages 7 to 17, preparing them for First Holy Communion. It has been a blessing to prepare children, some who have come here from other countries and speaking different languages, but all sharing the love of Jesus.
Now I am guiding children in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. I have been trained in Level l and Level ll formation and will be completing my Level lll formation this coming summer of 2023.
It has been an inspiration to see the children grow into adults and come to the Lord's Table to receive Him in love.
